Week 6 Streamers and Waivers

This was the week of breakout receivers. There are multiple players who took advantage of their increased opportunities this week. Many of them could be available in your league.

Streamers:

Quarterbacks:

  • Kirk Cousins (MIN) vs ATL
  • Andy Dalton (DAL) vs ARI – Pick up Dalton if you lost Dak or need a QB
  • Gardner Minshew (JAX) vs DET

Defenses:

  • Denver at NE (if Cam doesn’t play)
  • NY Giants vs WAS
  • Miami vs NYJ

Waiver Running Backs:

Alexander Mattison (MIN) – Dalvin Cook went down with a groin injury and if he misses anytime, Mattison will be the clear starter. Running backs are hard to come by as it is, especially a starting running back. Even if he is a rental for a couple of weeks, Mattison will get plenty of opportunity to score points.

Justin Jackson (LAC) – With Ekeler out, it looks like the Chargers will be having a split backfield. Would be worth adding if you are desperate for another back. Never know what could happen in this insane season.

Waiver Wide Receivers:

Travis Fulgham (PHI) – Looks like Carson Wentz found a new favorite target in Fulgham. Against Pittsburgh, he recorded 10 catches for 152 yards and a touchdown. Eagles have been thin at receiver and Fulgham has stepped up. His performance should have solidified his role even when DeSean Jackson and others come back from injuries.

Mecole Hardman (KC) – It is reported Sammy Watkins will miss multiple weeks with a hamstring injury. Hardman will get an expanded role in Watkins’ absence. Definitely startable flex option on the high scoring Chiefs offense.

Chase Claypool (PIT) – Claypool scored 4 touchdowns this past week (1 rushing) after Diontae Johnson went down early. It is unclear if he will suit up next week but Claypool should at least be a bench stash after his monster game.

Brandin Cooks (HOU) – Cooks had a quiet first few weeks of the season but broke out on Sunday. I think people forgot how good he is and dropped him after his performances (which is understandable). He is still the number one option for Deshaun Watson and while you may not feel comfortable starting, you should still keep him on your bench.

Other players who should already be picked up:

Laviska Shenault Jr. (JAX), Henry Ruggs III (OAK)
